What is a Kaleidoscope filter?
A kaleidoscope filter turns an ordinary photo into a repeating, symmetrical pattern — the same effect as looking through a real kaleidoscope, where a small slice of the world is mirrored around a central point into a flower-like burst.
How it works
- A single wedge — the effect takes one pie-slice of your image around the centre.
- Mirrored repeats — that wedge is flipped and repeated around the circle, so every segment matches its neighbour.
- Radial symmetry — the result is balanced from the centre out, which is why simple scenes suddenly look ornamental.
How to apply it in TOF Fun Cam
Open the camera, take or upload a photo, open the effects picker and choose Kaleidoscope from the Mirror category. Move around to see the pattern shift live, then download or share.
Tips
- Bold shapes and bright colours near the centre create the most striking patterns.
- Slow, small movements look best — the symmetry reacts to everything at once.
- For simpler symmetry, try the mirror filters instead.
